Day 28 - PV - "We're clapping cuz it's over... "

When I was a little kid, I would sometimes have to do piano or voice recitals.... as I spent most of the time being nervous about performing I never really noticed how long they were. Well, as an adult having just sat through not one but TWO piano and voice recitals, I can tell you that they are INSUFFERABLY long. I never really understood, before tonight, why my father, after sitting through my recitals would always say that people weren't clapping because they liked it ... they were clapping because it was OVER. O.M.G.

At least I was getting paid to be there.... as it was part of my job.... but it was still insanely long. So long that I'm now too tired to write anything substantial. In short, the diet is going much better now that I've been doing more PV than PP - lots easier to stick to. I've also been doing Jillian's 30 Day Shred every morning... which is great. For anyone who has NOT tried a Jillian DVD - you need to go out immediately and purchase one. 30 Day Shred is a great one to start with, I really like her 6 Week 6 Pack and her Yoga Meltdown workouts as well. :)

  1. What are your thoughts on protein shakes? I had one after my workout and then thought maybe I shouldn't have...

Down one pound from yesterday! I have decided I won't get excited until I'm down five. :)

  2. I don't know about protein shakes - in general, I like them. But Dr. Dukan is pretty adamant about not eating food that is not specifically mentioned. The thing about a lot of protein shakes is that - in order to taste good - they often have high carb and sugar components.
So, unfortunately, I would probably say that protein shakes are a no - at least for the first 2 phases of Dukan.

  3. Ok. The one I use is MyoFusion and it's low in carbs and sugar. I might still do it as a last resort. I was thinking that it would be ok because it isn't like a meal replacement shake or something. But I think you are probably right. Bummer!
