Day 20 - PP - Talk pretty to me!

I don't know about the rest of you... but for me, one of the best compliments I can get is that I look thin (or thinner!). I'm going to go out on a limb and say that MOST women love hearing this. We like being told we're thin more than being told our hair/shoes/ clothes/ kids are cute..... it is like.. the ULTIMATE compliment.. ESPECIALLY if you've been carb-deprived for over 2 weeks. Somehow outside acknowledgement that your body is responding is more gratifying than a number on a scale....

Today I got told 2 separate times by 2 different people that I looked markedly thinner than the last time they'd seen me. The first was even a GUY.... and not a very observant guy. (And, no - it wasn't BF - he's still in Taiwan) He walked in the door to my apartment today - and literally the first words out of his mouth were "Whoa, are you on a diet or something?! You look way thinner!" My outward reaction was to wave my hand dismissively and play it down - inwardly, I sounded something like this: "EEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!" :)

I have been noticing in the last few days especially that my clothes are much looser. The cropped jeans I'm wearing now for instance, when I bought them last summer they were a tad snug - now I can take them off without unbuttoning/ unzipping them.... and that's FRESH from the wash - not after 2 days of being worn and stretched out. Progress? I think so!

Oddly, I weighed myself this morning - and there has been no change on the scale. I'm thinking that this might be partly due to the fact that my scale is... frankly, a cheap piece of crap... due to budgetary constraints, however, I'm dealing with it.

Did anyone else watch the Season Finale of The Biggest Loser tonight?! I loved the fact that sisters Hannah and Olivia made it to the top three together - I found them very inspirational. I connected with Olivia since she too is a classical singer - but, I'll admit that I was rooting for Hannah to win!! I won't spoil the ending for anyone who's planning on Hulu-ing it tomorrow. But for anyone trying to motivate themselves to lose weight and get fit - BL is great inspirational/ motivational show to watch with great fitness/diet tips. I'm SO going to miss Jillian next season - I'm sort of disappointed that they've chosen Anna Kournikova to take Jill's place. (I know... WTF?! RIGHT!?) - Anna's got some mighty big shoes to fill. MIGHTY BIG!
CAN ANNA KOURNIKOVA DO THIS?!?!!?!
